Just downloaded windows 10

One huge issue I have heard is that evidently it's set up for mandatory implementation of "updates" and has crashed some machines, video drivers, etc.

Not only that but they are also implementing a "Microsoft certified hardware only" policy soon because they blamed a lot of Win failures on third party software and hardware.
Which is probably the case, but lord forbid they make their OS so it won't run anything that could hurt it. (like Linux)
But that requires a crapload more development time from MS, as well as in depth collaboration between MS and other peripheral suppliers.

So....
It ain't gonna happen

What they are going to do is to limit the available peripherals their OS will allow at all, so I'm thinking this is going to drive peripheral prices up and some of the cheaper stuff out completely.
