Chime in with suggested cam spec's 408 build
Gents, and laides if we have some.
Im putting togeather a stout streeter in a 73 Cuda and I'm down to selecting a solid roller cam and lifters, it will mostly be street driven with a few blasts down the strip, looking to get late 500 to early 600 HP (flywheel) with a 727 trans and 3.55 gears.
Engine specs to date.
Early 360 block bored 0.030"
Oil mods done including dual oil feed inputs from the remote filter, one back into the block at the factory filter location, one into the RH front lifter galley above No1 main feed to provide oiling from both ends of the block(similar to R Block)
Internally balanced Eagle forged 4.00" crank with Hughes girdle
Scat Forged H beam rods
SRP forged reverse dome pistons
W2 Race closed chamber heads (53cc, with pistons and heads I should be right around 11.5 CR. We have 98 pump gas here ) 2.08/1.6, HS 1.6 roller rockers, port and bowl work to inclrease flow etc.
Victor intake
FAST XFI TBI
Soooo, throw some numbers at me please, I dont want it to be a pig to drive, Im happy to run a vacuum pump for brakes if needed, I'd like good broard power from like 2500-6800, remember, its a streeter mostly.
Thanks and look forward to some intersting thoughts.
