Looking at the inst' panel pick ( and I can't see it really well )....
If you didn't snip the needle stop off of that sunpro volt gauge that needle cant move once the gauge is in the housing. Those other needles appear to have kinks and chips of paint missing. If so, That would indicate someone tapped on the lens until it and the metal matting broke away from the bezel and fell into those needles. They may still work just fine. Then they may hang and jump rather than produce a smooth, fluid like, movement. The needles are very easily distorted. Tapping on that lens is about the worst thing the operator can do. If you go ahead and put it all together as shown, Good luck. Don't tap on the lens.
