Match Race ~ 1970 'Duster 340' vs. 1969 Mustang 'Mach 1' 351W

I like these threads that 69 Cuda 440 starts. Since I was around in those days rarely did you see a car rated with way more horsepower beat a car with less horsepower. It was how that power was put to the ground. For some reason Fords just didn't run well out of the box. The very first engine I built was a friends 302 in a 68 Mustang California Special. But time after time my 340/Hedman header equipped 71 Challenger would just wup *** on that thing. I think one of the fastest cars I remember was the 71 Corvette with the LT1 350 engine with a 4sp. Followed closely by this ungodly sounding 70 Canary Yellow Dart 340. After that everything else is a blur. Good times they were.
