Mopar '340-X' Heads vs. Chevy 'Fuelie Heads'

First up, please explain the difference between tests 1&2 for the 340 head. 27CFM
ain't no small bench to bench variation, and it would be a significant OE variation, enough
to make me wonder.I have seen gifted X heads flow 240CFM, and 220 sounds like the low
end of the casting, the bowls are wider than J castings by a bit.
The numbers for the 461 look about right for those, there weren't any super changes
in the "double hump" line, but again gifted castings w/the larger OE valves are a plus if you
are running a class limiting mods. The newer open chamber SB chebby heads outflow those
handily, but run worse because the 2humps had a double squish chamber w/the fast burn
to go with it.
Lol,mopar definitely did NOT pattern the X after those things!!They for sure had a set
to see what the competition was doing, but there is nothing in common between them. The
BB chrysler and SB chevy have LOTS of things in common, most of them not good.Poor plug
location, valves open past and away from the cyl. center(big shrouding),etc.
