Trick Flow 440 heads, The Real Deal?

Jim and I are a lot alike. We love helping you guys/gals out, its our lifes work.

I did mock up a set of Hughes 1.6 roller rockers, Std offset, not the Victor offset. They line up real good, a touch to the exhaust side, no big deal. The wipe pattern was a very nice .055" with a total of .700" lift. Plenty of clearance with the 1.550" springs they came with. Another check in the Win column for these heads.

I have 2 builds in the shop that I will be testing them on, a 505 RB and a 500 B, both with HR cams. Actually they are very similar in build specs, as they both want the same thing. Only real difference is one guy wanted a tall deck, the other wanted a short deck BBM.

I also did confirm that they need the Victor style bolts, std long bolts are to short. Only had a touch over 1/4" threads coming thru the head with washer and head gasket, not enough!
