you would think the auction house would check and for sure. Not verifying the engine size is going to get them in a lot of trouble. There is already a case on a mustang where this guy thought he was getting a really engine of some sort.......turns out he paid for the rare engine but got a common one.

In the case of the road runner ....wont matter too much but with some cars that could mean the difference between 10 of thousands of dollars.
