Stop in for a cup of coffee

Had a good teaching momont with the oldest son last night...

He started pulling the pass suspension off of his 72 challenger so we could rebuild it. We have all the new parts ready to go.

He likes to do short spurts of work, then take a break...

Last night, I helped him split the upper and lower ball joints, then he said "that's enough"...

I said, "you're not getting off that easy, we're going to keep on going some more.."

Then we started pulling the UCA and one of the bolts broke off, and we couldn't get it free.... :banghead:

Then he said, "I'm getting tired and have to work in the morning, let's stop here.."

I told him, "Not now, this is personal... We're going to get this apart tonight if it's the last thing that we do.." :angryfir:

Then I got out the propane torch (and propane accessories) and heated it up real good, and then put the Ingersoll Rand impact wrench on it again, and the bolt broke free and spun... Then we were able to walk the bolt out...

We then cleaned up for the night as it was coming up on midnight...

I think he enjoyed pushing that extra to make a clean stopping point....

I told him, "Just keep making short term goals and try to go that little extra to accomplish them. It helps you make more progress..." :violent1:

I have to get him hooked into that mind set...
