1965 Dodge Dart 270 2 dr sedan

The Swedish importer ANA was in front of the safety tecnique. Due to Volvos advanced (at the day) safety features in their cars ANA wanted the Mopars imported to Sweden to be in the front of safety.

That's why ANA mounted Klippan seat belts on almost every Mopar sold new in Sweden. Since this car was sold in US and imported by a private person he asked a Dodge dealer in Sweden to mount the same seat belts as the Swedish sold cars had.

I would leave the tag on; what are you going to do?

Don! I will dis-assemble the steering column and take off the tag and put it on the next steering column I'm adding.

Part of the cars history! :glasses7:

Wow Reedmans Dodge in Langhorn PA. Never thought I'd hear about a little 65 dart in Sweden being bought all the way in pennsylvania especially from a dealer i know of. Its truly a small world. I used to live in New Jersey, my nephew purchased a 3/4 ton 4 door 4x4 dodge pickup truck chassis cab with dump body from them a couple years back for his landscaping business.

Wow Ulf, a new build. I will be checking it out. Great find on the dart. I noticed it had shoulder belts. Was that something that had to be added when the car came into Sweden to be legal?

Mark! The ANA sold cars could be ordered without seat belts. No many but it was possible. I have had some one owner cars and at least three of them didn't come with seat belts. But in mid sixties there wasn't a big issue driving around in Sweden without seat belts. But the safety features did increase in US cars sold here in Sweden.
