your an E-body guy .......what's your take on the reason they only offered small blocks in 72+ E-bodies ??

Me and my adoptive dad have a 73 challenger that I finally got him excited about doing something with and we talked about a 440 or going with a 340 then I thought ......wait a tick, why did Chrysler only put small blocks in these cars???
