Lay down Sally...

I would keep going with the tear down, take everything apart have the block dipped at the machine shop, new cam bearings and freeze plugs installed.

As for compression, I would re-use the stock pistons, I put KB 107's in mine and the compression is pretty high at 11.37

I was planning on having it did, can't hurt to have them do the bearings and plugs there. I was going to have them check the heads as well, if they are worth keeping then maybe an angle job. The block itself it pretty clean surprisingly.

That's pretty high compression, I was really hoping to stay under or be right at 10. Honestly this is the furthest I've ever been into an engine. So I'm trying to play it smart
