When building a deeper oil pan I think I need some kind of protection for it. Didn't thet had some kind of skid plate on big block cars? Did they bolt it or weld it?

I tried to find out how much the distance from headers to inner fender is! But that is tuff to measure. Try and error!!!

The Spitfires that are on the way will have no problem fitting between the block and inner fenders on either side!
