I know my Wrangler over time slowly the resistors burn out in the heater box, it starts loosing the lower speeds, I have changed out two of them over the years.
They are only like $20 at the local parts store, and about 15 minutes to change.
Look on the bright side, you can sell the old truck and get some of your money back.
