Well, yeh.
I used to have a friend when I was stationed at NAS Miramar, until I caught him with some of my tools. One Saturday, I was over at the auto hobby shop, busy as hell. He was putting a 396 into a 57 Chev. I had helped him with some of the engine, and helped install the cam. I knew it wouldrun.
So he came in, bla bla bla, wanted to know if I had a spare coil, a spare this, on an on, and about mid morning, came in and was like, "we REALLY need some help I can't get it to run."
So I go out there
Here they are, him and 'the crew,' and there must'ha been at least a dozen soda cans in various forms.
He says to me, "we don't have fuel, up here yet, we have been priming it down the carb outta this:"
and hands me a soda can
So.......I smelled it to make sure it was actually gas.......
!!NO!! it was not gas, nor was it soda!!!
IT WAS KEROSENE OR JP-5!!!
