I've been driving this for several years. Warmed over roller camshaft 440, Edelbrock heads, full 11" clutch inside an Ansen bellhousing, Hurst V-gate, line lock, TTI's, and of course the STR-14 cross ram.

And this - soooo long term - but it's real - all numbers matching, buckets, console (with tach), original floorboards and very minimal rust repair, etc.......Need a lot of little things, lines, wiring repairs, dash assembly etc. - all the big stuff, motor, trans, diff, interior is done..... it's just dusty..............

This is what the engine looks like now, good old plain Jane. Making some changes now, looking for 10.70s @125 while remaining pump gas no power adder and flat hood, closed element air cleaner and all. The car is long distance highway drivable too, 100% streetable.

That's a cool duster, my kind of build. Looks like original paint? What size tires you running? Is the radiator recessed into the support?

I just realized when I looked at the photo again that it was at the valley with photos by Jim. I race and show at the valley. My friend owns that track.

Thank you. Yes, original paint, vinyl top and interior. The tires are 275-60-15 Mickey TThompson drag radials. Yes the radiator is recessed into the support..

cool duster you have. i like how you moved the rad, wish i would of done that when i had my big block dart.
 
You guys got me wanting to build a 440 stroker 512. Does tti make long tubes that don't hang low, like 2 inch tubes? I want minimum 700 crank hp or I'll turbo it
 
I'm 95% complete on my '73 440 build. This is a "what if" car. I want to make it look like a car that Dodge could have built in 1973.

I did not want to cut the radiator support and move the radiator but it was necessary to fit the Chevy HHR fan and shroud. I had originally had two Spal 10 inch fans with no shroud and the Jeg's radiator in the stock location but it ran hot and would overheat. I did some research and found out the HHR fan comes with a shroud, moves plenty of air and can be bought brand new from Rock Auto for $47. I custom fabbed up mounts to attach the fan and shroud to the radiator. The HHR deal is thicker than the Spal fans so I had to either go with a low profile electric water pump or cut the support and recess the radiator into it, so that's what I did. It worked out great, no more overheating. I'm trying to avoid too much highly visible racing equipment so the mechanical water pump, power steering, mech fuel pump and a Powermaster one wire Mopar alternator are all in place. Its no race car, It is completely streetable. I don't even have a truck and trailer, I drive it all over including to and from the race tracks I run at.
 
hmmm. I thought there were guys over on bigblock dart running the hhr fan.
 
I just don't remember people having to recess the radiator. Maybe they used thinner core radiator? I wanted to try one but I went with the jaguar clutch instead.
