74 Dart engine wiring diagram

Anyone have a diagram for the engine wiring, 318 car?

You need a 74 factory shop manual. 73 is similar but there IS differences, including the ignition interlock.

You can download a 73 manual from MyMopar (which came from the guys here)

and MyMopar also has "aftermarket" wiring diagrams. However, they don't show the seat belt interlock wiring, and leave out options

If you still have the interlock "box" (look for a small box under the hood with a reset button) Cut and splice the two yellow wires together

I started to scan the 74 electrical but was happy with the results, and don't have it yet.

The thing is, starting in 73 and newer, the wiring is all chopped up in the diagrams. If you can post specific questions, we can waltz through it.

To get an idea of how this works, start with the 73 manual in the meantime.

www.mymopar.com reportedly It is missing a few circuits here and there but I've always had VG luck with it but check it out & see if it ans your Q. When jumping back & forth between the (2) schematics for each one, as each one is "cutoff" on the one side, it works good to open both up then minimize one at the bottom of the computer screen then pull em up back to back to match up the "ends", you'll see when you get there. Is there a specific area there under the hood that you have a Q regarding? Maybe the sharp guys here can ans it for you.

Just got this car and there is some "interesting" wiring under the hood. the PO put some relay system in to control the Edelbrock carb electric choke, an MSD box and coil were added and I`m sure I`ll find I few more things to fix. Mainly need to wire the choke back up and figure out where a few wires go or what they are for, passenger side intake manifold area. I`ll check out My Mopar as well.
