Jumping Amp Gauge After MSD Install

I recently installed a MSD 6AL-2 on my currently /6 powered 71 Swinger (planning on installing a 440 soon hence the MSD install). I noticed that my amp meter bounces now based on the RPMS (less bounces at idle and faster when I rev up). Since it started after the MDS install I'm assuming its a result of the new MSD box. Is this something to be concerned about or is it "normal" with an MSD box?
