Muscle Cars at the Strip ~ MATS Las Vegas 2016

I was there at Fontana when Dave and Michelle Waller ran the Mopar show on Memorial Day weekends. the drag racing venue ended up breaking even but the car show was very sparse in most classes and money was lost as to rent the track is expensive. I di not go the 2nd year but it was worse.

I have run the Chrysler Convention here in CT for almost 10 years after Paul Nagins started it and got burned out. It is very difficult to get the same people back year after year plus add new people with their vehicles. Everyone gets a mindset that I went last year and I will pass this year BUT the SHOW will still be there Next year!
ONLY three shows worth going to and will be sustained are, Mopar Nationals, Chryslers at Carlisle and Moparfest in Canada.

I hope shows like Big Daddy and the Rock are still there when I get time to visit after I retire.

We get around 550-600 Mopars and 200+ swappers at Spring Fling. It's our 30th year/show in April. I'm president of the club that puts it on.

I think there is still hope for well organized, good valued mopar events.

IMHO, the Mopar only race and show combo is a very tough type of event to tackle. I commend the Painter family taking that challenge on, sticking with it though the recession, and putting on great events.
