Let's put a mild 8.2:1 360 on the dyno.

Actually, the 351C was one of the easiest engines to get good TQ and HP from back in the day. The stock intake flows were far and above better than any other SB on the market at the time, and the 1.73 rocker ratio made getting a lot of lift very easy. But they never were around the in massive numbers that the 360's and 318's are, and are getting too rare anymore to be the go-to motor.

Plenty of Clevelands here in Australia but the frustrating thing is the thin wall cylinders. I look at 2v Cleveland ports then can't for the life of me work out how these LA engines can make any power at all LOL.
