so, I am looking for a specific video for a school project
I cant find it, so maybe someone can help me make it?

I like this video

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tIsXLyZcWI"]When Johnny Comes Marching Home - A Song Of The American Civil War - YouTube[/ame]

but I would like it with either guns and roses' civil war (minus the failure to comumircate, just starting at the whistle)

or with this version of "when Johhny comes marching in home"
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMJTycleWrc"]When Johnny Comes Marching Home - West Point Band - YouTube[/ame]

YouTube videos can be difficult to find, because YouTube's "tag" system sucks. Never search from within YouTube to start with. Always search from Google

Just what is it you are looking for?

I'd go with this version of "when Johnny comes marching home"

It has way more feel to it, is the real way I can describe it.

I need to give a small presentation on the effects of the Kansas-Nebraska act
from the possibility of instituting slavery in a new state ABOVE the Missouri compromise line, through the "assault" on senator Sumner, the events that became known as bleeding Kansas, the election of the first Republican president, which led to the secession of the deep south, and ultimately...the civil war

I am looking for a "big exit"
when I say "and ultimately...the civil war, I want to start my last "slide" with images of the civil war, and some music playing in the back ground to set the stage

it does have a feel to it, but when I close my eyes and listen to the west point band playing it, I see the civil war

when I listen to the one you posted, all I see is clone wars
(there is just too much drama there)

I know this isn't the one your looking for, but maybe it would work for you. It's from the movie Gettysburg. This version is by Randy Edelman.

that one is close, but I really like the way the west point band plays it
and having a "movie" over stills would be a plus

if anyone wants to move on this, now is the time
I need to turn in my part of the presentation for final editing tomorrow

allright guys, voting time

I downloaded about a dozen different programs, and managed to combine the first two videos into this

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZN-F50mCPs&feature=youtu.be"]civil war clip - YouTube[/ame]

and while I was edit (get it? at it, edit, I crack myself up) I also made this one

[ame]https://youtu.be/pRr1jWLqABw[/ame]

and...ill most likely combine the two to put the music of the first under the second

so, lets hear it, which one is better?

That second one is Great!

thanks, that one was the closest to what I had in mind :)

here's a few more (each time it is the footage from number 2, this one has the music from number 1

these last two have a slightly more southern themed tune to them ;)

[ame]https://youtu.be/cZmxib-qI1o[/ame]

and I love the way this girl sings this song

I know I'm probably late but here's one I found that's a little more mellow.

I don't know if it can be use it maybe copy written.
I really like this song. I had it played at my moms funeral.

By the way good luck on your project.
