You know they do look the same size in this picture. I have only ever seen the a518. Is the a500 definitely smaller as all the posts I have read on fitting these say they are definitely smaller and only need the cross member modified. But they look the same size
Using an A500 transmission will need the same floor and crossmember alterations as with an A518.
The A500 transmission body itself may be smaller, but the flange to the OD is the same on both, and that's where the floor mods are needed.
