I picked these wheels up a few years back out of a wrecking yard for $100. I've finally got around to working on them and didn't realize just how bad they were but I'm almost done redoing them. After almost a week of welding, grinding, filing, sanding, primer, paint, and soon to be polishing I hope to use them on my 68 Valiant after I order new tires. Instead of BFGs I'm leaning towards Cooper Cobras or some Fire hawks. Originally I had planned to paint them body color but after seeing them on the car they made it kind of look like a Lincoln Continental so I went with 500 deg high temp gloss black after some bondo high build primer black and then some high temp clear. It was tough picking a center cap as the originals are expensive and kind of ugly in my option. I almost went with some spinners but didn't think they would look right either so I ordered some derby center caps from summit for $30 shipped. I would like to have some 3d decals made for the 1" center using the grill emblem. sorry for the upside down pics.

Thank you. I plan to go over the lip again with some 0000 steel wool then buff with mothers after the paint fully cures. That high temp takes a while.

Very nice. Looks great! Good job.

I have the Optima version of those that are 15x9 4 1/8" backspacing and 5 on 4 1/2 lug pattern with tapered centering lugs.

I painted my centered textured gray.

I rigged up a little setup to smooth the nicks and put a uniform bushed finish on them. I turned the rim around stool with the brillo type wheel running on the electric motor.

Cool setup. Man them are wide. I like them on cudas and challengers going for the T/A look. Not sure if they are well suited for the Valiant but I've only got around $200 invested in them currently. Would like to run 205/60/R15 front and 245/60R15 rear and with me being OCD like I am I'll probly end up with BFGs again so that they will match.

After a solid week of working on these rims I think they are finally done. I sanded them down one more time after my buddy Nick did a bit of welding to repair some blemishes on the lips and a good polishing.

Dart, Valiant, or Barracuda? Trying to picture them on my old 64 Barracuda but all I ever had on it was slotted mags. (I've had like four sets of slotted mags now)

Do you have any pictures of your car with these on it?
