Interesting to read your struggles with the carb setup. I think I'm probably glad I stumbled upon my Megasquirt setup or I would probably be equally frustrated. I knew it had to be possible to tune a carb to work with my engine, but I wasn't sure how much I would spend in the long run and how much headache it might be. A different style carb might be the easier way to get there (something with a little easier tuning in the places you need maybe?), but nice to see you're making progress either way. I always felt my car was lacking something when it was carb'd.
