A-999 Swap and Information

I went with a 999 transmission and the Transgo stage 1 shift kit. I wanted a lockup converter as my rear axle ratio is 3:73.1 and I wanted to pick up the rpm reduction I get with the lockup. If you put that converter in a pre-68 engine the converter nose is smaller. I had a custom converter built for mine, and I did install the GearVendors OD unit. My transmission builder was pleased as the 999 has a lower first gear than the 904 and is also stouter internally than the 67 904. I should know the results in June if there is any justice on the planet.
