5.9 started idling quite high

I have an 01 Durango 4WD and the 5.9 that sometimes exhibits the symptoms that you describe. Normally a quick blip of the throttle got it back down to the normal idle RPM. I always ended up replacing the TPS and it cured the problem. My dad has an 03 Durango with the 4.7 and he also has the same problem with the TPS. It has been an item that has been needing to be replaced every 60,000 miles or so.
