help identify this transmission. Supposed to be A518

Thanks guys! That's great info and much appreciated
I have tried the Transmission centre site years ago for a plug but it didn't fit. The 3 pins didn't align up. I gave them a call and they said dodge stopped making the plugs and their one doesn't fit properly but I can make do with it. I will call again and see what I have to do to get it to fit.

Thanks for the info Transman! I should be able to cut the 91g weight off and use it. I will either have to move one mounting foot or just elongate one hole in the flexplate. The stall should be ok as I cant seem to find it at the moment but I remember reading somewhere that a standard stall was ok for my cam. Here is my camshaft.

With the 2800 stall converter in my other trans I seem to remember when I ordered the trans that they asked me what stall I wanted. I told them 2800 and also said I didn't need it to be a lock up. They brought one from Dayco and sent it with the trans. I don't know if they pacifically ordered me a non lock up or if they just sent a lock up one as they are now out of business. I will try to find some pics to see if I can see any numbers on it as its still in the car. I do have a vibration/shudder that comes and goes almost like its timed to come in and out. Its does it in every gear except overdrive. Even park and neutral. I was wondering if it has something to do with running a lock up box and a non lock up converter. Maybe to run the a nonlock up converter I will need to change something in the valvebody. I can always try to lock it up while driving it. Just worried I may damage something. Found this pic of the converter but cant find one of the other side where the numbers will be stamped

So far no luck on the information shown in the photo. Would sure like to see a picture of the hub side. I'm no builder, so what if any modifications are needed using a dummy lockup converter in a lockup transmission. However, there are a couple of transmission builders on this board who should be able to help you with that. If not, let me know and I'll contact a builder I know and see what he says. I'm sure in a past life, I've had builders tell me there were things to modify. It might also be of help to you to check out the TRANSGO website and have a look at the instruction sheets for the A518 shift kits and see if there is anything they might mention.
