I have looked at several different designs. I looked at the top mount design and thought about going in that direction. But after some conversation with Nigal at Brutal Fab. And Darrell at DCR. This is the best way for what I'm trying to accomplish. The twin scroll collector plays a part in the design I have chosen. I need as equal length runners as possible and as short as I can keep them. Yes long runners will spool a little slower. I need cylinders 1 and 4 to pair up and 2 and 3 to merge at the collector. I also am dealing with to wastegates to plum in there. This design in the neon world is call a sidewinder. To me it looks like a v8 header mounted upside down. The space is a little more cramped that it looks in the pictures. When I get the tubes built you will see just how crowded it is. This also puts the heat right below the heat extractor on the hood. No support will be needed the manifold is make of schedule 10 stainless steel the collector is the same tube diameter is 1.5. Here is the machined flange I'm using. A very nice piece. As for exhaust. Well there wont be any. If you look at how I have the turbo set up you will see the hot side/Exhaust is pointing right at the right fender apron. Yep that's where its going right through the apron will us a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and right out the front of the fender. basically an open down pipe. Pictures below
