1971 Dodge Dart Swinger 318 w/ lots of upgrades
Hello!
I am toying around with the idea of selling my Dodge Dart project car. It's been a great project and I've done a bunch of things to it, but circumstances change... and well, here we are. This is a feeler to see what kind of "bites" I can get for it and I also welcome your opinions on value. It's difficult to price it out with all the new upgrades added. So, take a look and let me know what you think!
This 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger, with 130k original miles, was bought as a (running driving) magazine project car and thus has had plenty of publicity. It's got some nice upgrades and modifications done that are generic enough to make it a drag or road car, but the car is only about 3/4 through the restoration process. The engine runs strong, sounds great and drives flawlessly. Powertrain needs nothing, unless you want to upgrade the engine.
I'm in SoCal and I'm hoping to get $12,500 for it. There is well over $10,000 worth of parts installed, if not more.
What's left is pretty basic!
- Car needs paint and body work, but it's not bad enough to shy away from going to a car show with it. I've gone to several! The body is straight with no major damage or frame issues.
- The interior is in good shape, but not perfect. Some seams are busted in the cushion covers and the springs need to be replaced in the front seat. The dash is and door panels are perfect.
- Main seals could be replaced, but not required. Will need it eventually.
- That's it! Car has been a garage queen.
Below is a list of articles that have been published about the car. All the parts and mods done to the vehicle can be seen in great detail throughout the articles. Additional mods not noted in the article includes a new battery and a carb swap. I swapped out the Holley 670 for a Edelbrock 600.
Everything else can be seen here, including lots of photos:

Any takers at $12,500? Any non-bias opinions on that price? Willing to consider best offer, but in no hurry.
Thanks in advance for the feedback!
