The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Just a quick update.

As stated previously, the 416 is going to the dyno this week. Can't wait, I'm chomping at the bit.

In addition, my transmission is also going to the dyno to be checked out before I put it back in the car. I am having the trans run on a dyno because it's one less thing to worry about when I fire up the car for the first time after everything is re-installed. If there is a problem and the trans. needs to be opened up again, it would be far easier to deal with rather than having to wrestle the unit out again on my back on my garage floor.

I also want to know what the pressures look like and if it shifts OK. There really is only one way to put it back together so I'm mostly confident but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

If this was just a regular old rebuild, I probably wouldn't bother but I have too much time and money invested in all this stuff just to wing it in the garage. Paying for these services will provide peace of mind and detailed knowledge of how all this stuff ticks.

More to come.
