I've heard several times that some people had issues with the name "Demon", despite the cute cartoon character, and that's why the changed the name to Dart Sport in '73. Didn't sales go up afterwards?
I wonder if those same people would boycott devils food cake too. Seems pretty silly to me. Funny though,that an ugly car with a terrible name like "Gremlin" sold well.
