'66 AMX prototype - never heard of this one

-
A 'RAMBLESEAT'? I never realized anyone had ever thought about bringing back a rumbleseat since the 30s.

I like it!!!

Not sure where the rear window goes when using the Rambleseat. Looks like it could be an issue is sudden stops.

I vaguely remember this one. Recall it as a metallic blue or aqua car. Rear window tilted out and up to shield rear passengers.

Putting a couple of friends in that 'Rambleseat' could sure aid the traction at the next street race!
Yee Haw!!!

Dang that's cool.
Love everything about it except the rear end / tailights / lack of bumper.

Wonder what it's worth? $300K ? More? Never know with these auctions.

What did the Dodge Daroo sell for?

Looks like this auction is over since last October ??

It sold at auction in Scottsdale in January 2016.

I spoke with the owner & took quite a few pics of it....Very RARE prototype & a totally cool car!!

So some B'cuda fastback owner/butcher will now put what he calls a minnow bucket in the back ? LOL
I would like to know what it sold for though.

I have a friend who was clearing a collapsed barn and found a 67 Rambler with a 360 and a huge Daytona like wing. It had 7000 miles on it. He ran the vin and found it was a prototype car and was one of two cars designed to be crash cars. He found evidence the other car was crashed, so he believes this is the only one left. Those cars are out there. I'd take an AMX over a Rambler, but both are out of my price range.
