I got talking to Mr. Norm a few years back at a show. He told me that they used to advertise on WLS AM at night because they would turn the power up on the antennae and it could be heard from the east coast to California as the antennae was on top of the Sears Tower and they couldn't broadcast at full power during the day, but were allowed to crank it up at night. Mr. Norm said they took advantage of the extra range by advertising at night....
