Stop in for a cup of coffee

You're absolutely right about the gadgets and I also drive with the radio turned off 95% of the time.

In terms of noise level, handling, brakes, durability and reliability, the world has come a long, long way since 1968. Not to mention safety. Putting 700 hp in the hands of teenagers was never a good idea but it was way worse in 1968. No sway bars, drum brakes, no demolition zones, crappy tires.

New cars sure are less inspiring but ... Well, it's a whole different thing.

Oh, and I love the new Challenger.

HA!! my 68 dart is the definition of simple ...it still has the slant six one barrel with an 833 OD. Still has the small drum brakes all around and no power steering, no power brakes, no sway bars. When I got it, it had 13 inch wheels but I changed them to 14 inch steelies with dog dishes. Still has the small bolt pattern.

I put some correct 68 bucket seats in it and drove it the way it was. I was going to V8 swap and "upgrade" everything but never got around to it because the car always ran so reliable just the way it is lol.

I don't really do much highway driving, most of my driving is done on farm roads or in a nearby city of 100k people and traffic is never all that bad.
