No, there is not a downside. :elmer:

The engine will run good with either one, but the LD340 is better port matched which makes it slightly better for the larger port heads. Also the LD340 has bosses to mount the ignition coil back in the original factory position, where the LD4B does not...

So yes, if you can swap for the LD340 - go for it!!! :thumbsup:
