Help... Vin #'s dont match

I wouldn't harass the old lady, was the deal for a "numbers matching " car? Id go with my general "who gives a ****" M.O. on this one. Unless the guy paid Barrett -Jackson price for it, which I'm figuring he didn't because it is a old man's car that his wife is selling out from under him, you know how those deals go.
