Help... Vin #'s dont match

It has nothing to do with us being dishonest.
Only the unwaranted need for someone to tell you weather its ok or not for an old lady to sell her husbands car to you. And by someone that couldn't care any less about you or your car and especially not the stamped #'s on a dusters package shelf, core support or fender tag. Its not in their job description to even know what you are asking about. You are barking up the wrong tree.
Perhaps you should try and get them to force your money back from the old lady also because the paint color or stripe didn't match the code the car was given when new. See what kind of responce that gets you. The state did their part and gave you your registerable title. They have no knowlege or concern
with any of the other thousands of numbers on any car but the vin tag under the glass or door pillar.
You are wasting yours and their time with any other #'s.
