Help... Vin #'s dont match

Never has one of these threads turned up a stolen
car. Just proof of a past repair to which some feel is worthy of a prison sentence.
The problem is not the car it is the buyer.
The state has the car as registerable.
This is not condoning auto theft.
No theft has taken place.
