I like your use of a chalkboard. I do something similar. I have a list in a spiral bound notebook. One list for body, one for engine, one for drivetrain, one for components, and one for parts. When i get a needed part or finish something, i line it out.

If I don't keep a list of things that need to be finished things slow down. It seems that I always run into some obstacle that keeps me from finishing the part I'm currently working on. Whenever that happens, - a glance at the board tells me to move on to the next thing on the list.
