Ha ha! I usually get up first along with my little daughter and if I'm planning to do dirty work or go for a run, the shower will have to wait until I'm done soiling myself (yes, I'm aware of some of the connotations there).

That's probably not something that dog will forget in a long, long time. I think your wife will come to regret that.
