Try this part of PA. Land goes for $80-150k+ per acre. There is a 2.7 acre lot for sale a mile from my house listed at $595k.
One of the last farm hold-outs near here finally sold his 20 acre farm a few years ago for just over $3 mil. There are now 42 $500k homes sitting on the land. The builder made over $10 mil developing the property and the realtor made $1.2 mil selling the homes.
