1969 Barracuda Dash Help
I see what your talking about. I checked P&G classic and saw the 69 non A/C dash with woodgrain and silver paint. You could carefully mask off the new one, remove the barracuda emblem from the glovebox trim and repaint the black using spray cans. I have gotten good results this way. I wonder if the black on yours is OEM black or if somebody along the way saw a 70 A body duster 340 and thought the black looked good and just repainted their 69 cuda dash that way. Maybe do a little detective work and cut off the welded plastic nubs holding the barracuda emblem on the glovebox door on the backside of that piece of trim, and removing that emblem to see if black paint is behind the emblem or silver paint. At this point id go repop only because your original is so far gone it would cost too much to have it redone. And once its redone its still 40 plus year old brittle plastic thats been repaired, and rechromed with old skool vacuum metalizing which doesnt last.
