Also I don't know if this is exactly relevant, but grand cherokees up to 1998 had a Dana 35 rear with disk brakes the disk brakes swap is common/simple swap for regular Cherokee's with 8.25 and abodies as well. Regular Cherokee's are drum only. Jeep liberty's also came with 8.25 rears but they are really different but you can use the disk brakes off them as well. They are (5x4.5) bolt pattern

Grand Cherokee's from 1999-2004 disk brakes will not work and are of a different bolt pattern (5x5)

Also 8.25 abody Canadian rear ends seem to have came with 11" drums. These larger drums can be found on larger cars in the USA with 8.25 rears
