Thanks. I'm trying to clean her up and get her to an even level of patina. I want it to look good but still show it's age where it should.

I was replying to the leaf spring stuff because I'm in the middle of doing the research for new rear springs for mine. Everything I've found says the 2800lb SS springs are the same spring firmness and spring rate as the Mopar XHD or repro OEM 6 leaf, but they are 40% lower cost. The correct SS springs for mine would be the 3400 lb ones...but they would be stupid stiff and no fun on the street.

What I can't seem to confirm is whether the ride height would be correct with the 2800 lb springs. Some of the stuff shows that the height would be around 1" lower, which I wouldn't want.

At this point, I will probably just get the Mopar XHD and not sweat the extra $$.

I couldn't find much info on them other than the 2800# ones are for a pro gas car. Couldn't find any info on rates or anything.
I put a set of mopar xhd on an e-body, no good as it sat lower than the 40 y/o ones that came off. Lots of folk have not been happy with the mopar xhd springs. Mine were made in Mexico.
