I've just about completed the transmission cross-members. The upper half doesn't look that sturdy but I think it'll be plenty strong after it's welded in and the floor is tied to it.
I did make a reinforcing plate for the bottom half. I haven't shown what I've gotten done to Spence yet but I think he'll be OK with all of it now.
The fit seems pretty good. I need to drill the holes to mount it to the frame yet and then do one more test fit. If everything lines up alright then I'll cut my tack welds and do my finish welding as I re-assemble it.
If you're wondering why I have such a large gap here - it's because we needed clearance for the speedometer cable.
