I get what you guys are saying. I could be like everyone else and do a V8 swap, but if Im swapping out the motor to a different style I might as well get a newer engine was purpose built to be efi (probably a 4 or 6 cyl), using a modern 4 or even 5spd transmission. (I've been wondering about a wrx chassis... AWD and everything- anybody seen that yet) Of course that would require almost an entire frame fabricated for the car.

I do understand suspension, while I was impressed with the brakes. I am definitely not satisfied one bit. The first thing I do to the car when I get back is disc brake conversion, and some kind of booster (probably hydro-boost, like the astro van).

Maintenance on the suspension will also be a must, but again I am not building a purpose built track car, main priority is a DD. Therefore stock suspension will be enough. I might get a little stiffer suspension though, but I am sure it would handle better than my 2wd F-100 that I used to race around when I was 18.
