Stop in for a cup of coffee

I would do it for those terms. I took a job with a 70 mile commute when my daughter was 4 months old and did it for a year. I averaged 90 mins each way. The pay was worth it and I just adjusted my schedule to start an hour earlier so I would get home at a reasonable hour.

I was going to buy a house closer to the job but I wound up getting an even better offer in Memphis so we moved there instead.

The only word of caution is "weather". I once got caught in a snowstorm and it took 7 hours to get home. All the hotels on the rural highway route filled up fast so I had no choice but to just keep plodding my way through it. After that I just kept the gear in my truck that would let me sleep in it if needed and all was good. I had a F-150 with a cap on the back so I could crawl in there and sleep comfortably.
I do the same even for 7 miles. My wrangler is a 4 door amd the rear seats fold down.
