225 /6 at 250HP?

hey you asked about putting a auto od behind your /6 , well in the 60's dodge put /6's and loadflte auto's together . using an adapter and crank spacer , loadflite has the la smb v8 bellhousing pattern and this adapter bolts to the /6 and lets you bolt a la smb v8 auto trans to it . so the newer o/d trans thats behind an la 318 , 360 , 5.2 , 5.9 will bolt right on that adapter . just must add @ inch to you trans mounting from the stock location . and your starter just bolts to the trans in a v8 placement .


But, research has proven that slant sixes with turbochargers run the best quarter-mile times with final drive gear ratios in the 2.76 range, so, there would be no need for an overdrive if you just geared the rear end like that. That "one size fits all" gearing would work for all kinds of driving.
