Has anyone ever seen 1971 Cuda gills on a 2nd Generation Barracuda. I'm wondering how it would look. I have seen them on a 70's Dodge truck and thought they looked pretty good.

No but I took a picture and posted it of a taped on gills on a 66 barracuda.

Nah, '71 grills are f-ugly. The peanut gallery designers at Chrysler threw a fit when they were not allowed to touch the virtually perfect design that John Herlitz produced with the 1970 'Cuda, so after a bunch of gripping, it looks like they were let loose on the '71 'Cuda. They funked up the grill, the front fenders and the tail lights. Some people love it, but it's like drawing a mustache on the Mona Lisa to me.

I'm not talking about the front grill, I'm talkin about the gills on the fenders, 1971 only. A lot of people like the cheese grater grill on the 1971, but I like the 1970 better. But anyways back on topic here.

Not gills, but a shaker

I don't like non-functional clutter on my cars. I don't think the gills would look good at all.

Umm no. Those aren't anywhere close to '71 Cuda gills. The plan right now is that I'm using fiberglass fenders, so I would make the vents functional, to help duct hot engine air out of the engine compartment through the side of the vehicle rather than under the vehicle.

That notch looks awesome but i would have picked a different color.

Im interested to see if anyone has done this.
