I tried searching the net and the site before asking this question but I couldn't find anyone asking the same question so....
Do I need to grease the k member shaft opening for the LCA pivot pin, I noticed there was grease on my old LCA and in the k member shaft on my old one. I was under the impression that all the movement is supposed to happen at the bushing and not at the shaft, I could see how metal to metal contact over time wouldn't be a good thing but I don't want to apply grease where it shouldn't be, any help would be great.

I have never greased that point. I recently upgraded the LCA's and the old pivots were fine after 13 years.

Make sure the nut is tightened AFTER the car is sitting at ride height...

A thin film of grease won't hurt anything at all. The pivot doesn't spin, but it will prevent rust in the tube and on the pivot pin. It's not a press fit so the grease won't interfere with the fit, and with the proper torque on the nut the pin isn't going to spin.

A shot of wd-40 or similar thin lubricant can help insure it does turn while you orient the lower arm to where runs. This before its torqued in place.
