the budget for design and product development so very little for the 70 duster. They had to use what they had and cut corners if possible.
Which is kinda funny that the pop out quarter windows were seen as cutting corners but I love those windows like that .....it was handy to pop them open for just the right amount of ventilation when I used to daily a duster
